Are botanical gardens free?

Admission to the venue is free for everyone, regardless of residence, on Wednesdays starting at 10 a.m., and for New York City residents throughout the day on Wednesdays. Admission to the venue does not include admission to the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, special exhibitions or the tram tour. The Grounds Access Pass is free for New York residents all day on Wednesdays.

Proof of residence is required; it can only be redeemed on site. Admission to the venue includes access to gardens and outdoor collections, including the Everett Children's Adventure Garden. The land access pass is free for everyone, regardless of residence, on Wednesdays from 10 to 11 in the morning. The Haupt Conservatory in the New York Botanical Garden was built in 1902 and is considered to be one of the best greenhouses.

Admission and membership revenues help Brooklyn Botanical Garden care for its 52 acres of land and greenhouses and offer environmental education programs, impressive botanical exhibits, exciting public events and community greening efforts that have made the garden a place of class world living museum for everyone to enjoy. NYBG's manicured flower gardens, lush fields and winding trails are a perfect escape from New York City's concrete skyscrapers. From the Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan, take the local Metro-North Harlem line to the Botanical Garden station.

The New York Botanical Garden has five entrances, and if you have tickets to the Botanical Garden, you can enter through any of these doors. The East Gate of the New York Botanical Garden is located on the corner of Waring Avenue and Bronx Park East and is open during normal garden hours.

While the Garden Pass ticket allows you to access all of the botanical garden's outdoor gardens and flower collections, KUSAMA Garden Pass also allows you to access the ongoing exhibition called “Kusama — Cosmic Nature”. Culture PassThe New York Botanical Garden is pleased to participate in the Culture Pass program, offering free access to the grounds only Monday through Friday. Access to the Haupt Conservatory is limited and is only available to holders of Garden Pass+ Conservatory tickets, which can be purchased on site.
